Similarly, 2022 Marriott also has employee and friends and family rates, which are not as strong as Hilton's, but still quite good. This rate is called Marriott friends and family, and the code is MMP/MMF/MM4.

Previously, when you used the employee and family and friends rates at Marriott, you did not have membership benefits and could not earn points or room nights. Terms of use for the Marriott Discover Friends & Family Rate.

1. Applicable to Marriott employees themselves and their family or friends.

2. There is no limit to the number of rooms or nights per stay.

3. If a room is not available upon arrival after order confirmation, Marriott will arrange for an alternative hotel stay at the same rate.

4. At check-in, eligible guests must present a photo ID and an Explore Rate Authorization Form.

5. According to local policy, guests may be required to establish an applicable credit file at check-in.

6. Marriott Worldwide Resorts will provide weekly housekeeping service.

7. This rate is eligible to earn Marriott Travel Plus points or airline miles.

8. It may obtain authorization through Human Resources or the Marriott Global Resource Center.

How to Book the Marriott Employee and Friends & Family Rates

Booking the employee or family and friends rate is easy. Just enter the appropriate promo code when looking for a hotel.

Usually, all you need is the MMP code, and both the employee and family rates will be available. Between the end of the year and the beginning of the following year, you can try the MM4 code, and some hotels may have a cheaper "Explore More Rate."

If you can only use the Friends and Family rate, then use the MMF code so that hotels with only staff rates and no Friends and Family rates are not shown.

Note that it is up to the actual hotel whether they have the staff rate or the friends and family rate open.

How to get Marriott employee and family and friends rates

The 2022 year, all Marriott employees should have an Enterprise ID (EID). You can get one from Human Resources if you don't have one.

Once logged in, click "Discount Card & Room Form" and select Discount Program Request.

If the reservation is for an employee rate and the employee is staying in person, fill in the employee's name in the Name field and select "Discount Card" in the Discount Type field, then submit and print out the Discount Card.

If the reservation is for a friend or family member, select "Explore Rate Authorization Form" in the Discount Type field, fill in the name of the friend or family member in the Guest Name field, and submit and print out the Explore Rate Authorization Form. Rate the Authorization Form and print it out.

When checking in, employees must present their ID card, employee ID card, and Discount Card; friends and relatives must present their ID card and Explore Rate Authorization Form.

If you are a family member or friend of a Marriott employee, then you will need to weigh in. The Friends and Family rate does not offer many discounts, and you will need to bother someone to register it in the system, print the authorization form, and give it to you. Is it worth it to owe someone a favor for a small discount?
