IHG 2022 Q3-Q4 Program: 2,000 bonus points per 2-night stay or 10,000 bonus points per 4-night stay

IHG is launching its Q3-Q4 2022 quarterly points rewards campaign: "PICK YOUR PAYOFF." This IHG program, a new twist, earns 2,000 points for every 2 room nights or 10,000 points for every 4 room nights.

It's one or the other, but 10,000 points for 4 nights is significantly better than 2,000 points for 2 nights. Unless you're sure you won't stay more than 4 nights this year anyway, I can't think of a situation where you'd choose 2 nights for 2,000 points. Is this redundant, or is it marketing psychology? Registration Period: Until 2022-12-31

Applicable check-in dates: 2022-10-13 to 2022-12-31

Once registered, it is impossible to change, so choose carefully. In addition, room nights do not need to be consecutive, and you will be rewarded for staying the required number of nights during the event period.

As always, rooms with points or bookings made through third-party channels are not good stays, and you must spend more than $30 per night to receive the award.
