How to use Marriott Bonvoy Points Tutorial

By Gavin | August 11, 2023

I'll show you how to use your Marriott bonvois points to book hotels on the Marriott website. But before I get into the tutorial, there's tips to maximize the value of Marriott points. actually two quick things you should know in order to get the most value out of your points. The first is that for every four nights that you book on points, you'll actually get a fifth night free.

That means that if you book a five-night stay, then the night that cost the lowest number of points will be free, and if you book a 10-night stay, then the two nights that cost the lowest number of points will be free, and so on for longer stays. The second thing you should know is that right now, marriott points are worth (on average) 0.7%s per point, but you can also get more value per point or less value per point depending on the hotel that you're trying to book.

Make sure that you compare the cash price to the price and points and that you're comfortable with the value per point that you're getting. Anyway. Let's get into the tutorial How to redeem Marriott Bonvoy points on the Marriott website.

How to Book a Hotel in Sydney World

Enter your location and dates. I'm looking for a hotel near Sydney World. After that, check the box for use point lash certificates and click find hotels. If you forgot to check the box, then on the next page you can go to edit and then select the option for use points and rewards. Once you find the hotel that you want, click view rates on the next page. Click for the room that you want and you'll be asked to log in if you haven't already. If on the earlier page you weren't seeing a price in points, then you might have to change your dates to do that.

Click edit, and i actually recommend selecting the option for my dates are flexible. then, when you click view rates, you'll be shown a calendar of what dates the hotel has availability for points bookings. then you can click the day for the first night of your stay.

Once you get to the hotel booking page, be very careful, because if you have any free-night certificates in your account, you'll have to select the option for redeem points rather than use those awards. This is especially important if you are trying to use the fifth night free benefit, because certificates do not count towards your fifth night free. In the summary of charges you'll sometimes see some taxes or resort fees, so you'll have to enter a credit card, which i'm just not showing for privacy reasons. Once you've entered everything at the bottom of the page, click book now.
